I heard a very clear S-bomb a while before the apology (at least 30 seconds,
maybe as much as a minute), in the moment that the linked article
transcribed. I rewound right after that to make sure I did hear that it was
the word I thought I heard, and again after the apology, but the rest all
sounded like "frickin'" to me.

I guess the people in the booth were waiting for the feed to cut away rather
than talk over the coach with their apology.
