I've gotten the feeling while watching curling that they're delaying the start of the match by a few minutes (i.e., long enough to do an introduction and have a commericial break) and then catching up during the course of the competition. I don't think I've seen the "live" bug on screen before the very end of a match. What weirds me out is the "almost live" they seem to be doing a lot of in prime time. I guess it's somewhat a byproduct of bouncing around as much as they do, but I'll frequently see clocks in the venues that seem to show a delay of less than 10 minutes. -- David J.
