I don't think anyone is trying to replace Simon. I'm not sure he can be
replaced. And I suspect the people behind American Idol know that better
than we do.
I think they were trying to assemble the most interesting people they could
for the shows. At this point they don't have much chemistry. They could have
worked on that perhaps a little bit before the show started. Perhaps the
chemistry will develop. I don't see them arguing like Simon did some times
with the others.
And I disagree that Tyler or Lopez don't have ideas on what it takes to make
it in the music business today. They might not be the best, but they're
better than a lot of other choices.
