I might dispute that (I would need to see a tic-toc of the entire inning to
be sure). My memory is that they showed Rivera warming up, then the AL
scored, and Uncle Tim said something like: "Maybe this will be enough
cushion to keep Mariano till the 9th? Who knows, a little drama..." (or
words to that effect).
