How would you compare the two? See what select based on size is faster?
I don't think you could ever get a benchmark with the accuracy that would be useful. Now, that being said, you might be able to running Unidata on your pc and then doing it in SQL on the same pc so you could control it! Other than using the same machine for both you will be running on you won't get true results.
