What I'm commenting on, is the first impression that a new user gets. Although you can't judge a book by it's cover, most software is judged by the name and packaging artwork. Off the top of my head, a name like, say, PowerOffice makes a powerful impression, ElegantOffice makes an elegant impression, but LibreOffice conveys the image of a bunch of open source ideologists who cares about nothing other than licensing > > But OTOH, I've tried out the 3.3 Betas of LO, and they sure rock. > > See what I mean? :-) As I said, I had to make an effort to sideline my scepticism and actually try it out, before seeing the goodness that it is.
