Dear all, A lot has recently been said, mostly in Dutch, about ubuntu-be.org and formal structure. Last january[1], an unanimous decision was made by about 15 volunteers at a real-world meeting. We decided to put off the creation of a formal legal entity for ubuntu-be.org.
At the same time, it was decided to do some important bits of formalisation work. Two examples: clear descriptions of responsibilities within ubuntu-be.org and creation of a bank account. Any suggestions on steps towards further incremental formalisation are welcome. For the time being, that does not include creation of a formal legal entity. Cooperation with established formal legal entities should probably be discussed at a real life meeting.
