donatello: does keyboard not work for you too? I have actually solved my problem long ago, and may try to help you solve yours. Would you please specify, if this happenned after some sort of an upgrade? Also, what keyboard layout do you have specified for X11 (check /etc/X11/xorg.conf for that).
