** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17

After a usual upgrade last night, this morning I found out I cannot use
my mouse nor the keyboard, if I boot linux-
  image-2.6.17-10-generic=2.6.17-10.29.

I somehow managed (funny. by pressing ctrl-alt-del multiple times right
after GRUB passed control to the kernel) to get my keyboard to work
  though, and installed linux-image-2.6.17-10-386=2.6.17-10.28. This
problem doesn't occur with this kernel. Neither did it occur yesterday
  (I suppose I was using linux-image-2.6.17-10-generic=2.6.17-10.28 then).

This is a serious problem that should be addressed ASAP. I tried
rebooting a few times (had to press "reset"), and the problem persisted.

- I suspect this can be related to 64991, or even the same bug. However, I
- can't use my HID devices even in console, so it's not an Xorg bug.
