OK a step further> Found the buggy package! Step by step with synaptic I installed some 96 packages without problems. Only libx11-6 and libx11-dev are not to install, every time it results in "terminal is not fully functional " and a frozen Synaptic. Seems the bug is with "libx11-6" and "libx11-dev" as all others now worked out. Hope that this both are fixed soon. installed is 2:1.0.3-4 ubuntu1 and latest version is 2:1.1.1-1ubuntu1 Kept back are initramfs-tools and usbmrg
