well, after the binfmt modules message you see in your first boots it
starts X and the installer setup, there is nothing more to see on a
console at that point...

that still doesnt explain why it doesnt do the first boot configuration
though, you should see it resizing and reformatting the filesystems to
be properly adjusted for the SD card you use, then creating swap and
several other configuration bits and then it should automatically
reboot.
