+Shahin This is a Ubuntu problem. They made changes that broke a stable NVIDIA during a long term release. No forgiveness for me.
This issue for a LTS release definitely makes you stop and wonder what the developers are thinking. The had several weeks notice that this NVIDIA issue occurred and which update in the code caused it. It is not an issue that will make me run back to Windows but enough to re-evaluate Canonical and Ubuntu as my main OS, cloud storage and other needs. LTS release with a non-fixed major graphics issue is suicide for Ubuntu. Between the constant changes in default programs, UI changes, feature degradation, I am over it. I dealt with it because of overall stability.
