I explained to you why this is an issue any why it needs to be adressed and why 
it affects the upgrade process.
You ignored all of that and removed, commentless, the ubuntu-release-upgrade 
link.
People are shredding their installations because something changed in ubuntu 
and the upgrade process does not take care of it.
This thread pictures perfectly what is wrong with ubuntu and the community and 
why so many people are turning away from it and stop supporting or filing bugs. 

It worked perfectly that way since ubuntu 6.x, does not work this way
anymore since 14.04 but hey, its easy to anticipate that change? Right?
