AaronMa, does your model have NFC? You can tell by a symbol printed on the touchpad just below the middle physical button of the trackpoint, looks like this one: https://i.redd.it/el9qai4evu811.jpg
I'm now on kernel 4.18.7 and that does not help in any way.
