Sorry to butt in, I followed the instructions here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Kernel/Compile. Dany used a vanilla kernel, so he wouldn't have been able to apt-get it. You can get the vanilla kernel at http://www.kernel.org. Also, there is a good thread on the forums http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=311158 (Master Kernel Thread)
