Good, it sounds like we are making progress and there are multiple bugs. We can keep using this bug simply because the symptoms seem the same, even though it's not bug 1727356 any more.
The message: [ 3.713332] fb: switching to inteldrmfb from VESA VGA is probably not relevant at all. It is normal and just the last successful log message that appeared before the hang. Are you sure about the message "“Unable to load insight firmware”? Or do you mean "isight"?
