HI Richud,
the definition of "snapshot-edit" in the man page is "with extra
checks" so I was reluctant to suggest adding it there.
But the following sequence is more or less identical to edit
- snapshot-dumpxml > file.xml
- modify file.xml
- snapshort-create-as ... file.xml

So if snapshot edit is strictly meant to do extra checks, my
suggestion was to add it on snapshort-create-as.
Code-wise it could be added to snapshot-edit as well, but I didn't try
to do so because of the assumption above.
