I suspect this is a problem related more to the particular graphics chip, which I've never had. I've long used Openbox (on Lubuntu, mind you, which could very well be the difference) with no problems, though. I would suggest doing a couple things:
1. Ensure that you can reproduce this in a freshly installed system, or perhaps even just the live media. If you can't, then it's something specific about your setup. 2. Check to see if you can reproduce it in a virtual machine. If you can't, then it must be specific to your card. 3. Check to see if other flavors of Ubuntu are affected by this. If they are not, it must be something specific about the default Ubuntu set up. At the very least, Lubuntu should Just Work⢠unless it's related to your card. Finally a word of warning: upstream Openbox developers long pronounced it a finished project so the likelihood of getting any bugs fixed, at least by upstream, is quite small. ** Changed in: openbox (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1862756 Title: Openbox leaves a trail on new windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openbox/+bug/1862756/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
