A 18.04.4 (i386) QA-install of Kubuntu was recently done to this box. I logged in at terminal, `sudo apt install lubuntu-desktop`, switched to GUI and logged in with `openbox` and COULD replicate this issue. reboot & issue was again reproducible when logged in with `openbox`. I booted the Lubuntu 18.04.4 LTS media and tried using `openbox` at the login screen, but this time could NOT re-create the issue.
