It's /var/crash/_usr_bin_gnome-shell* that's more relevant here. If you
don't know the ID that got uploaded then it would be in the file
/var/crash/_usr_bin_gnome-shell.*.uploaded

Using 'sudo' is correct because the file is owned by a different user
ID. But if you don't get any useful feedback then:

1. Check for *.uploaded files which contain the crash ID.
2. Try using 'apport-cli' instead of 'ubuntu-bug'.

Also you seem to have at least one unsupported extension installed.
Please remove all such extensions:

  cd ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/
  rm -rf extensions

and then log in again. Does that avoid the problem?
