If you can obtain a feature freeze exception and land your change on the
Resolute branch before release, that would be ideal. It will likely be
tricky to back-port the change to Resolute after release because it
seems to amount to a new feature, which is typically not permitted by
the Stable Release Update process:

The migration from universe to main can be handled independently of the
upload to the Resolute branch.
