@dtl131: If holding back HWE would not be an option then another solution must be found. It is *unacceptable* that LTS releases are constantly broken due to package incompatibilities within Ubuntu's own repos. If Ubuntu can't maintain virtualbox on schedule they should throw it out of the repo entirely. At least users are then aware that the manually need to maintain/upgrade their virtualbox installation.
I'm pretty sure no LTS user wants to be left with a non booting system frequently just because they performed a simple system update at the wrong point in time, i.e. new HWE kernel released but no current virtualbox package available yet. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2160033 Title: virtualbox-dkms fails to build with kernel 7.0 HWE To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/virtualbox/+bug/2160033/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
