Confirming on a second Acer Nitro V 16S AI (ANV16S-41, BIOS V1.14, Ubuntu 26.04.1), with a controlled test:
- Kernel 7.0.0-38-generic WITHOUT the parameter: camera (0408:4035) absent from the USB bus, internal mic records only zeros (raw capture peak = 0). - Same kernel WITH gpiolib_acpi.ignore_interrupt=AMDI0030:00@11 (after a full power-off, not just a reboot): camera appears and the internal mic records real audio. Speech recognition works with it. So the kernel update alone does not fix the mic; the GPIO 11 parameter does. This agrees with the previous comment, which changed kernel and parameter at the same time and could not tell which one mattered. Things I ruled out before finding this: mixer/boost/mute, 7 ALC245 fixup models, the codec's own GPIO pins, and the AMD ACP PDM path (no DMIC in ACPI). Windows works with the same hardware, so it is not a hardware or BIOS fault. Not fixed by this: the physical mic-mute key and its LED still do nothing in Linux (the LED works in Windows).
