Tested the noble build from ppa:libfprint-tod1-group/ppa, and it works. Please publish it for 26.04 LTS and later.
Hardware: Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G4 IAP (21DH) lsusb: 10a5:9800 FPC FPC Sensor Controller L:0002 FW:27.26.23.18 Ubuntu 24.04.5, libfprint-2-2 1:1.94.7+tod1-0ubuntu5~24.04.8, fprintd 1.94.3-1 Without the driver, fprintd reports "No devices available" and libfprint logs No driver found for USB device 10A5:9800. With libfprint-2-tod1-fpc 27.23.44.2+2404-0ubuntu1 from the PPA on the stock Ubuntu libfprint, the device is detected, and enrollment and fprintd-verify work (verify-match). However, the PPA has no builds for resolute (26.04 LTS) or stonking (26.10), so this hardware will stop working for anyone who upgrades. Could you please: Publish libfprint-2-tod1-fpc for resolute (26.04 LTS) and later series? Consider making it available without a PPA, either in the archive (restricted/multiverse) if FPC's license allows redistribution, or through the OEM archive, so that ubuntu-drivers can offer it automatically? I'm happy to test 26.04 builds on this machine. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2024145 Title: [needs-packaging] libfprint-2-tod1-fpc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/2024145/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
