When the warnings start is 1-2sec after I get the first text identifying the kernel--Usplash will try to start & then goto a text-only display whilst I get loud warns. I do not believe that gfxboot is causing the problem?--all problems start after Usplash starts (but I will note that grub-gfxboot uses 0.97-5 instead of the current 0.97-29. Is there any thoughts towards using gfxboot as standard?). If you wish--I will install the current grub for a test. Also, do you know if the current grub2 is stable enough to use?
