Hi I have the same problem. Answering to all your post... 1. Does blacklisting b44 make any difference? The only difference i that on the X environment i can´t select the wireless option 2. What is the form of your BCM4303? Is it a mini-PCI card, a PCI card, or what? This is a laptop, i believe that is mini pci. don know the form off it, how can i check it ? 3. There is a line "Radio hardware status changed to disabled" in your dmesg output, that usually is printed when an rf-enable switch is turned off. Does your machine have such a switch, or is there a special "fn" switch to enable the radio? Such a key sequence would be used by Windows. This laptop don have any button to turn on/off the wireless connection the only ting that have is a light that light´s up when any information is being transferred. In this case the light never goes on not even when the module is being load. 4.While I try to find where the problem lies, please execute the following three lines in a terminal, post the output of the echo command, and attach the file sprom_out to this thread: SPROM=$(find /sys/devices -name ssb-sprom) sudo cat $SPROM > sprom_out humm it gives a empty result on any cases in the echo and in the cat command... The file sprom_out appears empty. ** Attachment added: "The last lines off fmesg and the lsmod result" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/15497346/dmesg%26lsmod -- No wifi with b43legacy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/238896 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
