@X3: I agree that this was a blunder, and probably shouldn't have happened. But keep in mind, this was in the Proposed Updates repository. These updates aren't meant to be considered official updates. Proposed Updates is a testing bed to catch these kind of problems before they hit mainstream. If you want a perfectly stable Ubuntu, then don't use unstable untested software, and stick with the standard update repository
