It helps if you assign the bug to the correct package. Judging from the bug comments, that seems to be ia32-libs-tools (the source package which is used for building ia32-archive). I've assigned the bug to that package, and Launchpad told me that bug supervisor for ia32-libs-tools (Ubuntu) has been subscribed to this bug. Perhaps something will happen now.
