I can of course create a link to it with a name without space, but it would
be much better if I, in the UbuntuOne tool could rename it to "UbuntuOne".

Adding another storage under a different name, is not an options since
I cannot remove the "Ubuntu One" directory and I do not want to have two
cloud storage directories.

I get around this by symlinking the individual files into the Ubuntu One folder. Eg:

$ ls -la .dircolors
lrwxrwxrwx 1 robru robru 20 Oct  3 10:47 .dircolors -> Ubuntu One/dircolors

This has the benefit that apps find their config files in the default places, and U1 still syncs them anyway.
