I hate 2 channels too but I like that fb group cuz we can invite people to events and receive support requests and people get notified when some1 posts something, the thing I don't think is available for pages, if we closed the group, there would be almost no help from outside the team, simply because no one is notified ;) So, i suggest, instead of closing the group, we may abandon posting to the page's wall by non-admins... I don't think we can get such level of activity with forums as we get with fb group, forums are history now, everybody uses fb :D
