Any kernel patches (such as the updated graphics DRM/DRI modules) should go to the kernel team, even if they are part of other specifications.
UME config ------------------ 1st draft of the UME config was done by Kyle. I will do a second pass today. We should have an initial configuration for the UME configuration by tomorrow. An overview of changes in the 1st draft: 1. Turn off APM 2. Turn off SMP support 3. Remove support for majority of SCSI, PCMCIA drivers 4. Remove support for majority of Arcnet, Ethernet, ISDN, ATM, old WLAN drivers. 5. Remove support for non-Intel AGP/DRM/Video/FB/Soundcard drivers 6. Added Poulsbo patches == power-management-in-ubuntu, mobile-power-thermal-optimzations ==
Those two go hand in hand. Amit and Intel engineers (Todd, maybe more?) to write up the spec and decide what should go in there.
I have not had a chance to start the spec for power management yet. I will do this tomorrow based on the wiki pages for Power management policy created by Intel. Regards, Amit -- Amit Kucheria, Linux developer
