    Hi guys,

    I believe Eric Manuel Pareja
    <https://plus.google.com/u/1/116697769004457122504> has done this
before. He contributed code, translated Ubuntu installation into
Tagalog. However, I am not exactly so sure whether there exists a
full tagalog translation for the entire Ubuntu Desktop.

    I agree, Ubuntu Team Philippines
    <http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=303> is the first step
to raise this issue. Or you may contact one of the team members at
    Ubuntu Launchpad Team Philippines
    <https://launchpad.net/%7Eloco-philippine-team>.

    Cheers!

        Hi Mr. Buenavista,

My name is Jean Austin, a member of Ubuntu Forums. Thank you
for your effort in bringing up a social media group in
Facebook. Although I believe the one recognized by the local
community is named "Ubuntu Team Philippines (Ubuntu-PH)" which
currently has 800+ likes, which, however, is only a page and
        not a Facebook group.

        Regards,

I tried searching in FB for any Page about Pinoy Ubuntu
Users and none exist. So, I decided to create one.
            http://www.facebook.com/PinoyUbuntuUsers
With this social platform, we can have a wider range of Ubuntu users and lovers.

Thank you. See at the FB Page. I need more admin.

Thank you jdcrisostomo for your help.
How can we campaign to all Filipinos to join the Ubuntu
            localization
so that Linux will be translated to Filipino?
Maybe we can post it in Facebook, university forums,
            school mailiing
            list, government mailing list.
We could also post in on job sites mentioning that joining
            an open
source activity is like an on-the-job training and will be
            added to
their resumes and there are many ways to contribute to an
            open source
            project and anybody can join.
