Hi Done, was able to run apport-collect -p xserver-xorg-video-nouveau 993907 as described above.
One point I should mention, not sure if relevant, the NVidia card is connected to the monitor via DVI-D cable but the Intel GMA onboard is connected via VGA cable (that's the only option).
