@ Michael. That would have been just luck as this bug is still not picked up actively. I think newer kernels solve the problem for some of us, just because some parts of the kernel are probably re-written, but that doesn't imply that these modifications were made for this specific bug.
I've sent an email directly to Mark Shuttleworth, well at least at his secretary: that's as direct as I know how to contact him. No one else seems to bother. Does any body know developer at Canonical who we might contact with this problem? Who is in charge of bugs at Canonical? I still want to use Ubuntu and not switch to another distro.
