I agree with #70 that it's not necessarily a nv related bug.

I updated to 12.04 from my very stable 11.10 and I had the very annoying
random log offs. I spend some time trying many different options
(switching to nouveau, trying different nvidia drivers, ...) but none
worked for me. Then I installed a clean version with minimal packages
and start try and error with different packages. And finally I think I
have found the package that was causing the crash: it was the google
talk browser plugin. I tried it several times, and without the gtalk
plugin my precise is quite stable.

Is there anyone CC'ed on this bug having the google talk plugin
installed? If you guys can reproduce what I have experienced, we can
report it too Google and they will quickly resolve it.
