I was getting random crashes until last night when I installed the kernel from comment #91, and it's been stable since then. BUT I've noticed some other weirdness since installing it. Most noticeably sometime cron jobs don't run and I have thins line in /etc/rc.local to dim the laptop's screen which doesn't work anymore, even when I switch back to the old kernel: echo 0 > /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993187 Title: ubuntu 12.04 completely freezes frequently.
