Even with the latest Xorg from xorg edgers PPA and the lateste nvidia
driver, Unity on 12.10 immediately crashes with a segmentation fault.

The sad part is that now they removed Unity 2D and I am also unable to
install Classic Gnome, so there is NO fallback. I am trying to work with
nouveau now, and oh boy is that experience unstable. Unity just stops
working on a regular basis.

When I bought this new laptop which only has a dedicated Nvidia card, I
thought I would be stepping up from my Dell which had an Intel and
Nvidia card. That Intel card worked flawlessly with Unity in 12.10 alpha
3, and even the discrete Nvidia card worked like a charm with Bumblebee.

Needless to say, this is extremely annoying.

Oh, and what is with the dependency of nvidia-current on xorg abi 10,
11, and 12?
