I have updated to 3.8.0-030800rc3-generic kernel. And again today I have had a complete freeze during a video chat. This is the same behaivor as with kernel versions 3.6.10, 3.7.1 and 3.72 before. The only kernel option I a m using is "i8042.noloop" to enable mousepad.
