Having al least had occasion to test the PC with 15.04, that kernel (3.19) ... it seems to work!
Dmesg report a series of bugs like this (of the top of my head): noveau E[ PBUS] [0000...] MMIO write of 0x01000001 FAULT at 0x000 .... repeated perhaps 10 times...
