We've gone back so far now that we've nearly gone back to the Jaunty version. When you get back to this testing, you may want to do a Jaunty install and see if that suffers from the bug. If it doesn't, we have our good version and it might be easier to step forward from there with newer versions of xserver-xorg-video-intel, rather than start at Karmic and step backward.
