Ok - this blacklist file isn't present in the current version of the nouveau package, or in the versions that shipped in intrepid/jaunty/karmic. Did you install xserver-xorg-video-nouveau from a PPA or anything, previously? The current package changelog doesn't mention anything about this blacklist file.
Anyway, this is either a bug in xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (low because it at *most* affects users who were tracking the lucid alphas), or not a bug in the Ubuntu package. You should be able to get things back to normal by manually removing that file and re-running update-initramfs -u. ** Package changed: plymouth (Ubuntu) => xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- can't find framebuffer in initramfs (cryptsetup) with nouveau driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551108 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-nouveau in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
