The work-around is just for fixing build problem on powerpc.
I suppose that powerpc might need an ad hoc implementation.
Indeed glibc has these two files
sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/powerpc/powerpc32/posix_fadvise.c
sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/powerpc/powerpc32/posix_fadvise64.c

So, you may be able to port glibc implementation and adapt to uclibc and 
post a patch for inclusion.
Sorry, but I cannot do more on powerpc.
