Hello all,

I'm struggling to get microwindows to show anything on my display (a
Sharp LQ043T1DG02 connected to 5329 ColdFire). The 480x272 resolution
wasn't supported in the kernel so I added a new resolution option and
modified the framebuffer driver and list of modes to support it. I think
I've got this right because the Tux bootup logo shows OK with no
flickering.

I can't get microwindows to show anything though. I start the board and
enter the following commands
nano-X &
nanowm &
nxclock
and, although the display sometimes flickers when I execute the final
command I don't see a clock (or anything, the display remains as it
was). I think the nano-x end is working OK because programs that I run
like nxclock get events and when I kill a program the messages suggest
it had connected to the server OK.

The only other thing is that I get the message
createfont: (height == 0) found builtin font System (0)
when I start nano-X but googling this suggests it isn't too worrying.

Is there some other step I need to go through to tell microwindows about
my display?

I'm using the latest kernel (20100628).

Thanks

Phil Mason
