Not a stupid question at all. I know eclipse has this functionality but
I don't know how to turn activate it. It may be an extension point we
have to extend (that's how we got the progress view to be active). We
may also have to change the UDIGApplication class to check for a .lock
file in the .metadata directory. We can check the Eclipse application
class for hints.

Hello!
Stupid question:
We have uDig based product installed as Eclipse shared install, Let's call
the product "KuvioGIS". KuvioGIS will be started from operating system
(windows) command line with following command "KuvioGIS -data
C:\temp\username", where username is the operating system login username.
My question is that how we can check that if the user already have running
instance of KuvioGIS no other instance of the product is started? I could
not found any related parameter under Eclipse runtime options?
