You guys are both correct; I had not planned to update the uDig code
quite yet (boy everyone is moving quickly!). I may just strip it out
(the bridge between the relativly geotools catalog api and the uDig
catalog api). Only my "tile" community module used it after all...
I will see what I can do,

I think Catalog is now in gt2-repository.jar (unsupported module), in
the package org.geotools.repository instead of org.geotools.catalog
