Thanks for the proposal, it sounds like a really cool feature to me!

Just a few questions:
I guess GeoScript is build on top of geotools. I assume that the
version of geotools matches the one from the udig.libs bundle, won't
it? Is it a goal to have access to the uDig object model? Or is it
planed to integrate the binding (scala/groovy and maybe javascript)
into the main libs bundle?

Should is be possible to switch between the supported script languages
or is it planed to provide only one oft it running in the JVM?
