I will give a course about geoscript in uDig for a Gewrman University in March. By then I will release the whole course material. > 3) developer documentation? this is where I guess we should have a chat, > make some notes, and possibly draw a picture together for the developer > guide. I expecting we will at least get one page describing the plugin, how > it can be added to your own RCP app and if we are luck what classes do the > work, and an example of how to call a script as a java developer (or > something?) Oh man, that is really something I will NOT do now (I do not have the time) and I don't think it has been really requested in the past. There is a whole tutorial of the eclipse fundation that explains exactly how to do it, and if I understood it, any developer will. If that is a blocker right now, I will rather roll out a custom uDig version for my purposes. One thing that could help in the second would to at least accept the changes in the libs for the geoscript dependencies, so anyone would be able to use the editor just by adding the few needed plugins. That is for sure safe and doesn't break anything. > 4) I suspect we should review the headers and stuff as well, in anticipation > of the IP review (also note the BSD+EPL license etc…) I should have taken care of it already (but review is good). Most of the code is EPL from IBM anyways, so it will have to stay as it is. > I will add those to the tasks section of the RFC, is there anything else > that is missing? > - > http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/UDIG/Addition+of+a+Geoscript+Console No, there is some too much. :) Guys, I think I did my duty. In the next few days I will submit a pull request. Should I do it for the whole of it or just for the library part? In that case the 1.3.3 would not contain the console, but at leastbe ready to support it. Either ways are fine for me right now.
