POLL (please reply to the mailing list)
Do you think we should do the CHOSUG events in the evening (i.e 17:00 -> 20:00) OR during the day like we did so far? Absolutely, as far as I'm concerned: I can not justify to my employer leaving for an OpenSolaris group meeting. Please list your three most important things you expect from CHOSUG? 1. I expect that it is run as an *informal* Solaris interest group, and not a formal Sun marketing event 2. I expect it to take place OUTSIDE of working hours 3. I expect to either give, or partake in workshops (presentations, code events, etc.) given enough interest & participants Please list your three favorite topics you would like to see CHOSUG cover in the next months? 1. Compiling OSS software on Solaris 2. Proper System V packaging & SMF integration 3. Clusters & SAPP (Solaris, Apache, PostgreSQL, PHP) stack These should, in my opinion and experience, be hands-on, practical events, and interspersed with theory as necessary Do you agree with the frequence of every 3 months for CHOSUG events? I would think that's too infrequent, but others should really chime in. Do we want a place to learn from each other, exchange experiences, network and learn together? We need CHOSUG leaders to help us drive the community since none of us is doing this as his full time job. Would you agree to join the CHOSUG leaders? All interested parties should probably have a discussion about it at the same table... _________________________________________________________________ Connect to the next generation of MSN Messenger? http://imagine-msn.com/messenger/launch80/default.aspx?locale=en-us&source=wlmailtagline -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
