Hi Folks Saturdays are out I'm afraid, it'd have to be during the week.
I can do the install myself, but it'd be nice to *meet* a few of you, this installfest was just an excuse. I'm not so fussed on distros, "Qual der Wahl" as they say on this side of the fried grated potatoes ditch. Ones that'd interest me are: * Belenix (because it boots just fine on my laptop, has cool tools and scripts, and a very nice GUI) * Nexenta (But come on, a Debian-type Solaris with apt-get is almost too easy) http://www.gnusolaris.org/gswiki * Indiana (for curiosity's sake) * Nevada (might be useful to see what's coming... I haven't quite twigged the difference between Indiana and Nevada other than geographical) I don't really care that much about which distro. Wifi support with WPA2 is fairly important, & a samba client (hey, Suse 10.3 is *not* so great on this point...), a Gnome or KDE GUI, and support for my existing encrypted partitions, would be nice, but not essential :-) If we get around to meeting up, I'd be quite ready to decide on which distro on the day - see what people bring along. Meanwhile I have to shovel my ext3 partition around to make a GB or so free.
