Actually, Gerald, the polite thing to do if you are posting just for one community, is to say so, in ENGLISH at the beginning, so that the others who don't understand what you wrote aren't upset at being "ignored" by the foreign language post...
On the other hand, there's a set of rules that govern this list, and if I remember well, it does specify ENGLISH as the normal posting language... so being part of a community implies adhering to the rules.
